New Functions Available in Latest Updates

  • The updated “Alarms” graph can now simultaneously display the overall danger level and the danger level of the selected signal.
  • The “Generate Report” function allows exporting search results to a .pdf file. The report fully describes the radio frequency environment in the monitoring zone by outputting a table of dangerous and safe signals, as well as including “Alarms,” “Spectrogram,” “Waterfall,” and “Persistence” graphs for each signal in the report. Example report.
  • Sending notifications via email. The operator can now receive automatic notifications upon detection of a dangerous signal in the monitoring zone. A .pdf file with the report is attached to the email.
  • Checking for updates. The operator can check for updates and start their download directly from Delta X.
  • Remote access. Tested method for remote connection to Delta X from iOS, Android, and Windows devices.

SW Update for Delta X 1.215 – 1.221

A software update for Delta X search systems has been released! Among the innovations: RF search with two antennas (wideband and MW), signal analyzer – “refreshable band” now has 3 options, and more, detailed in the News section!

New Functions:

  • RF search with two antennas (wideband and MW). The use of an additional MW antenna allowed increasing sensitivity at higher frequencies. During the search, Delta X selects antennas alternately. The distribution of bands across antennas is adjustable and defaults to 3-6 GHz for the MW antenna.
  • Signal Analyzer – “Input” now has the “Auto” option. When selected, the antenna is automatically chosen depending on the signal frequency and the band distribution across the antennas.
  • Signal Analyzer – “Refreshable Band” now has 3 options:
    1. “Displayed” (default) – the entire range displayed on the spectrum graph is refreshed.
    2. “Selected” – the selected section of the spectrum is refreshed. Reducing the selection may be necessary when analyzing or localizing individual channels within a mobile or wireless band, such as a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth channel.
    3. “Real-Time 27 MHz” – investigation of a fixed 27 MHz band with the highest probability of event registration (for transient signals).
  • The calibration procedure was changed (the new update will prompt you to perform calibration again).
  • The Probe mode was changed:
    1. Now functionality does not depend on the sequence of actions “connecting the probe” and “starting the mode”.
  • The maximum working range was extended from 10 to 100 MHz.
  • 3 new buttons “0-2MHz”, “0-10MHz” and “0-100 MHz” were added for quick selection of the range of interest to the user.

Advantages

Form Factor: portable system controlled by a computer.

  • High capacity of the computer’s hard drive allows for registration of the radio frequency environment throughout the search or 24 hours a day in guard mode.
  • A large screen diagonal is convenient for analysis.
  • Compatibility with touch screens.
  • The manual use option of the antenna is more convenient for localization in hard-to-reach places.

Processing of mobile and wireless bands GSM, CDMA, 3G, 4G / LTE, DECT, 5G (<6GHz), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.

  • Mobile and wireless signals are detected using an individual threshold for each band and are displayed separately from other signals.
  • Activities within each band are stored as a single signal with a specific danger level to reduce the number of unnecessary entries in the table and allow localization of frequency-hopping sources.
  • In each cycle, additional spectrum acquisition is automatically performed on bands with particularly short bursts, which increases the probability of measuring signals such as GSM, 3G, 4G, 5G (<6GHz), DECT, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.
  • Bands are surveyed simultaneously with the search for conventional signals.
  • Interference from mobile phones and nearby Wi-Fi access points can be easily eliminated using thresholds.
  • Data files are supplied in the set, allowing the operator to easily reconfigure the system to the standards existing in the country of use.

Sensitivity and Detection Range

  • The built-in spectrum analyzer has 20-50 times higher sensitivity compared to RF detectors and near-field receivers.
  • Interference immunity – sensitivity remains high regardless of proximity to wireless access points, routers, mobile phones, base station towers, TV, and radio broadcasting.

Table of Known Signals

  • The operator can easily distinguish safe signals from dangerous ones.
  • TV frequencies used in the country of operation can be quickly imported from the data files supplied in the set.
  • FM frequencies, as well as police and municipal VHF/UHF communication channels, can be collected locally and saved for later use.

Advanced Signal Recognition Method

  • Signals are automatically recognized in the spectrum and inserted or updated in the “Signals” table.
  • Both analog and digital signals are captured with the assignment of a corresponding danger level.

Unique Algorithm for Measuring Signal Danger Level

  • A combination of a reference spectrum and individual thresholds for mobile/wireless bands is used.
  • Both the signal level and its bandwidth are taken into account.
  • Works for both analog and digital signals, including signals with variable frequency.
  • Used for source localization and gives more reliable results compared to traditional level-based localization methods.

Low Operator Knowledge Requirements

  • The system can be prepared for searching using the “Update Masks” procedure in a few minutes.
  • Manual work with spectra is not required.
  • Everything is done automatically after detection starts.
  • Upon detection of a dangerous signal, the system warns the operator with an audible signal.

Data Saving

  • All spectral measurements and alarms are saved during detection.
  • The radio frequency environment can be reviewed and studied at any point in time.
  • Ability to detect a remotely controlled clandestine device in 24-hour monitoring mode.

Tracking Signal Activity Over Time

  • The “Alarms” graph displays the full history of each individual signal or all signals simultaneously.
  • Events can be viewed at any point in time with a simple click on the graph.
  • The ability to view the signal existence duration allows distinguishing real threats from interference.

“Waterfall” and “Persistence” Graphs

  • Displays both current and past measurements at any point in time.
  • The displayed time interval (density) is selected in the range from 2 minutes to 6 hours.

“GPS Beacon Detection” Mode

  • Monitoring mobile bands allows detecting beacons covertly installed in vehicles.
