A wide frequency range, separate radio channels with high-sensitivity and selective preselectors, digital signal processing, and protocol identification allow for the detection of technical channels of information leakage, which are beyond the capabilities of ordinary wideband detectors.

Wireless communication protocols used in modern communications are increasingly being utilized in covert information gathering tools. High quality of audio and video, digital technologies, and a developed mobile communication network infrastructure allow obtaining audio and visual information about an object in real-time and, virtually, from any distance. The quality of coverage provided by mobile communication systems allows highly accurate positioning of moving objects using radio beacons. Modern location tracking devices use a GPS receiver and transmit the object’s coordinates over mobile communication networks.

Solving the problem of detecting weak wideband signals is only possible by dividing the reception into separate frequency bands, which will significantly increase the signal-to-noise ratio at the detector input. This task is solved in the new multichannel detector, Protect 1207i. The device uses SAW filters for each frequency channel, ensuring high selectivity and sensitivity of the detector in each allocated frequency band. Simultaneous analysis of radio emissions in six frequency bands belonging to various radio communication protocols, digital processing, and signal protocol identification allow the Protect 1207i to effectively detect and localize “complex” radio signals at a distance of several meters.
